Improved Cancer Survival in States with ACA Medicaid Expansion

In states that adopted Medicaid expansion following the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), patients with cancer have improved 2-year overall survival rates when compared with patients in states that did not adopt the expansion.

The finding comes from an American Cancer Society study, published online today in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, of more than 2 million patients with newly diagnosed cancer.
