A 76-year-old man with atrial fibrillation presents with increased symptoms and reports that every time he has checked his own heart rate at home with his blood pressure monitor, it has been greater than 100 beats/min, and sometimes as high as 130 beats/min. He is currently taking rivaroxaban, rosuvastatin, lisinopril, and pantoprazole.
