A 55-year-old patient requests new prescriptions from you during a routine appointment. Next month, she will be traveling to a developing country, as she does often, and she wants to replace her emergency medication kit because all of the medications have expired. Her medical history is significant for bee sting allergy and recurrent kidney stones. She is otherwise well. Her medication kit includes ciprofloxacin, loperamide, oxycodone, and an epinephrine auto-injector (EAI).
