First Case: Intranasal Saline for Chronic Rhinosinusitis

Mr Michaels, a 42-year-old computer scientist with nasal congestion, yellowish rhinorrhea, and facial tenderness of 2 years' duration, presented to his primary care provider. Evidence of bilateral maxillary sinus mucosal inflammation was apparent on a noncontrast maxillofacial CT scan, and the patient was diagnosed with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). He was uninterested in pursuing surgery, preferring to manage his symptoms solely with medications.
