A 78-year-old man with Fitzpatrick skin type I presents with a growth on his scalp (Figure). His medical history includes coronary artery bypass grafting x 3, hypertension, and benign prostatic hypertrophy with a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) of 8. He is an avid tennis player and has been playing competitively since college. He was recently treated for lateral epicondylitis with a steroid injection into his right elbow. The growth on his scalp has been present for 6 months and has slowly grown in size. It has not bothered him in any way, but he comes to the office at the insistence of his wife.
