This report documents the rapid increase of COVID-19-associated hospitalization among children and adolescents coinciding with the emerging predominance of the Omicron variant.
This study found that completion of a 2-dose mRNA COVID-19 vaccination series during pregnancy significantly reduced the risk of COVID-19 hospitalization among infants aged <6 months.
The findings in this report underscore the importance of receiving a third dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine and suggest that an additional dose may be necessary to sustain protection.
