Fast-Forward: The Next Act

Dr. Topol: Let's go into fast-forward a little bit. You haven't even hit 30 yet. You've got Theranos, it's completely humming and doing everything that you've described. What is going to be your next act? You are so young to have accomplished so much.

Ms. Holmes: This is it. This is what I want to do.

Dr. Topol: Is that right? No SpaceX or hyperloop or anything like that in your plans?

Ms. Holmes: To really do this and make this change, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Dr. Topol: Wow, amazing. We have really enjoyed the chance to get to know you, Elizabeth, and your company Theranos. And we congratulate you on this phenomenal rebooting of laboratory medicine. If there ever was a portion of medicine that probably needed creative destruction, this was it, and you figured out how to do it. Big-time kudos to you, and to all of your folks at Theranos. Thanks for being with us.
